What is a Time & Attendance System (PDKS)?

A Time and Attendance (PDKS) system is an integrated software and hardware infrastructure that digitally records the start and end of employees' daily shifts, overtime, absences, and leave days. In modern business, PDKS has evolved far beyond traditional wall-mounted punch cards into cloud-native mobile applications with QR code scanning and Beacon proximity recognition.

Modern PDKS Methods: QR Code and Beacon

Modern businesses are moving away from dedicated biometric readers or physical turnstiles due to hardware maintenance costs and data privacy considerations. HRCORE provides contactless, cloud-based attendance tracking:

  • QR Code Attendance: Dynamic, encrypted QR codes displayed on office screens or entrance points allow employees to check in with a simple mobile scan.
  • Beacon Attendance: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons detect an employee's presence within predefined workplace perimeters and verify clock-in upon mobile notification confirmation.
  • Geofenced Remote Clock-in: For hybrid and field teams, GPS-validated boundaries ensure attendance is recorded only within designated client or worksite locations.

Advantages for Payroll and HR Operations

Automating attendance recording eliminates manual timesheet entry errors, reduces dispute resolution overhead, and accelerates month-end payroll preparation from days into minutes. Shift records automatically sync with leave management and overtime calculations, producing audit-ready payroll reports in one click.

KVKK and Compliance with Privacy Standards

Under Turkish KVKK and European GDPR regulations, collecting biometric data (such as fingerprints or facial geometry) requires explicit consent and entails strict legal liability. QR and Beacon solutions provide full compliance without collecting sensitive biometric identifiers.
